We are seeking an experienced Vessel/ Heat Exchanger Engineer to be responsible for design, specification, selection and services relating to mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment, utility equipment, and packaged units. The duties of this role will impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
Under general supervision, the Vessel/ Heat Exchanger Engineer will perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter. You will devise new approaches to problems encountered and will plan, schedule and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
The role will also require to you perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. The Static Equipment Engineer will also provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
Opportunities exist for Vessel/ Heat Exchanger Engineers at Engineer, Senior and Principal level who are specialists in Tanks, Vessels and Heat Exchangers. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent team building/ working and communication skills.
Experience of Refinery and Cryogenics would be highly desirable, as would a background working in Oil and Gas Contracting.
